May 2 (UPI) -- President Joe Biden connected Thursday signed 2 proclamations expanding California's San Gabriel Mountains National Monument and Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument.

The San Gabriel proclamation adds 105,919 acres of federally protected onshore southbound and westbound of nan monument's existing 346,177 acres.

Though adjacent to nan highly developed areas of Los Angeles, nan description area includes untouched earthy onshore that offers much entree to outdoor recreation and homes to protected wildlife specified arsenic nan endangered California condor.
